hi, hello, it's me nina

If it wasn't obvious, my name is Nina and I make art, with love! It's pretty cheesy and a little woo-woo, but the pieces I make are meant to bring love to people.

My art started out as delicate watercolor florals paired with self-love affirmations. You know, really on the nose for "made with love," and a very appropriate gift for your conservative grandma.

Now, I make ceramic matchboxes that look like packs of cigarettes and wheel-thrown "boobie jars" with nipple rings—in addition to pottery you can still gift to grandma. All of it made with just as much love as my previous work.

For me it's a reminder that I contain multitudes. That I am allowed to change and evolve, play and experiment—that I am both soft and edgy; both serious and playful; both/and whatever I want to be. It's a practice of no longer trying to fit into any box—not the ones the world creates for me, nor the ones I create for myself. That I am all the versions of me—past, present, and future—and whether I'm changing my mind or my hair or my art, I am still me
